Farroad FRD16 – 175/70R13 82H

The Farroad FRD16 in 175/70R13 82H is a robust and reliable tyre designed for older compact sedans and small hatchbacks. A key advantage of this specific model is its H speed rating, which is higher than the standard ‘T’ rating often found on 13-inch tyres. This ensures enhanced structural integrity and stability at higher speeds, making it a superior choice for drivers who use their smaller vehicles for motorway commuting as well as city driving.

Key Features:

• High-Speed Stability: The H speed rating allows for speeds up to 130 mph (210 km/h), providing a higher safety margin and better handling stability than standard entry-level tyres in this size.

• Quiet Driving: The tread design utilises a closed shoulder pattern that effectively blocks road noise and airwaves, ensuring a quieter and smoother ride—an excellent upgrade for older vehicles with less sound insulation.

• Wet Weather Safety: Four wide longitudinal grooves work effectively to evacuate water from the contact patch, significantly reducing the risk of aquaplaning and improving braking performance on wet roads.

• Fuel Efficiency: Engineered with a low rolling resistance compound, this tyre reduces energy loss, helping to improve fuel economy and lower carbon emissions.

• Comfortable Ride: The tall 70-series profile provides excellent shock absorption, smoothing out bumps and potholes to deliver a cushioned driving experience.
